Face Lesion Removal
Skin tags are small outgrowths of skin that can be flesh-colored or pigmented. They can appear anywhere on the body but are most often found in areas where the skin folds, such as on the eyelids, neck, underarms, bikini line, and under the breasts. Since it can be challenging to distinguish a skin tag from a wart, beauty mark, or potentially dangerous mole, it’s important to consult a provider and not attempt to remove it yourself.
Our method for removing skin tags involves cauterization. After examining the skin tag, we use a specialized instrument that resembles a pen to remove it. This cautery pen uses heat to both cut and seal blood flow, which can help minimize the risk of infection. Once the tag is removed, we apply polysporin to the affected area to aid the healing process. The treatment typically takes 10 to 15 minutes and does not require any recovery time. It may leave a small scab on the skin, which usually takes 4–7 days to heal.
Your skin care specialist may recommend a healing cream as part of a take-home protocol.
Our prices are based on the number of tags to be removed. Therefore, we recommend a consultation and assessment to provide an accurate quote for you.
