What are the Botox 3 areas?

Botox is a treatment that helps address wrinkles and fine lines on the face. It temporarily “freezes” the muscles, so they don’t contract and form lines. This treatment is intended to address dynamic wrinkles which appear as you move your face. Botox is FDA-approved for forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet in these three areas.

Forehead 

Lines and wrinkles appear due to repeated facial expressions such as squinting, raising eyebrows, or frowning. Over time, these lines become more pronounced and can give you a more aged appearance. The horizontal lines on the forehead can make you look more stern in addition to looking older, and many people choose to have these lines smoothed out. Botox can be injected into the forehead to relax these lines and give you a younger, more friendly appearance. 

Frown Lines

As you frown, squint, and move your face, you can develop vertical lines between your eyebrows. These lines, known as frown lines, can make you look more serious and angry. Botox can help relax these lines.  You typically receive injections between the brows and right above them for frown lines. An average treatment is comfortable and will take about 15 minutes to complete. Typically, Botox will last about four or five months, and you can have more units of injections to relax your muscles longer. You can return to your daily activities immediately after having Botox injections.

Crow’s Feet 

When you laugh or smile, it tends to crinkle your eyes; over time, you develop fine lines called crow’s feet. These lines fan out around the corners of your eyes. Some people find that these lines make them look older, and they address them to smooth out their skin and appear younger. After receiving Botox injections, you will still look like yourself but have fewer visible facial lines. Keep in mind that it may take up to two weeks after your treatment before you begin seeing results. 

Botox is an FDA-approved neuromodulator that uses a small amount of botulinum toxin to keep muscles from contracting. You can receive one area of treatment to see how you like the results, and you can come back for other areas if you choose.
