Update on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Essential Aesthetics
March 17, 2020

To our patients and community,

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact us all, I wanted to reach out to you all.

We are following the orders of the Department of Public Health and closing our office until further notice. This order began this morning, March 17, and will continue through April 7.

As this situation continues to evolve, we all must work together to keep ourselves and our community healthy and safe. In doing so, we will help our families and those at a higher risk for illnesses, such as the older population and those with compromised immune systems.

Here are some guidelines to help protect yourself, those around you, and our office:

  1. Please stay home if you feel sick. This is the best way to avoid spreading illnesses.
  2. If you have flu-like symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, or fever, please stay home and isolate yourself from others as much as possible. Wash your hands, cover your coughs and sneezes, and disinfect daily surfaces. If you begin to feel worse, please get in touch with your primary care physician.
  3. If your healthcare provider tells you to self-quarantine, please stay home. Many viruses, including COVID-19, are asymptomatic. Just because you do not feel sick does not mean you will not infect others in the community.
  4. If you are sick and need to leave your house, please wear a face mask and avoid large crowds for your safety and those in your community.

What you can do to reduce your chances of getting sick:

  1. Please get a flu shot if you have not done so already.
  2. Proper hand hygiene by washing your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds as possible, especially after touching surfaces such as elevator buttons, door handles, etc. Watch the CDC’s handwashing video.
  3. If soap and water are unavailable, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  4. Cover coughs and sneezes, and do not shake hands.
  5. Avoid touching your face.
  6. Maintain at least six feet from other individuals
  7. Avoid large crowds and gatherings.
  8. For people with medical conditions, regardless of age, that put them at higher risk of serious complications, should they get COVID-19, and other than health care workers and other essential providers, avoid leaving their homes to the extent possible.

What are we doing to keep you safe?

At Essential Aesthetics, we will follow all CDC, state, and county health guidelines regarding COVID-19 prevention and care during this time. As always, soap, water, and hand sanitizer are ready for our patients and employees.

Per our usual standard protocol, our rooms will be disinfected with antimicrobial wipes in-between patients, and the floors will be cleaned twice daily.

Our highest priorities are the health and safety of our patients, community, and office. We must take proper precautions and work together to manage the COVID-19 pandemic.
