The Beauty of

Restylane Fillers

Are you noticing signs of aging on your face, such as wrinkles and creases? These result from the loss of subcutaneous fat in our facial tissues, which causes a loss of volume and firmness. If you are looking for a natural and fully biodegradable option to add volume to your cheeks, plump your lips, or reduce the appearance of lines and creases, Essential Aesthetics can help. Our Restylane filler injection treatments in Danville and the San Francisco Bay Area provide a non-invasive solution that can add volume, soften wrinkles, or fill contours. Schedule a consultation with our Aesthetic Physician Assistant injector to learn how we can recreate that youthful volume in your face and achieve a younger, refreshed look.

What is

Restylane?

Restylane fillers are a type of synthetic dermal filler made of smooth gel-based hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance present in our skin that helps keep it hydrated and youthful-looking. However, as we age, our skin produces less HA, leading to wrinkles and fine lines. By injecting Restylane fillers, we can add volume to the skin, lift it up, and smooth out lines and wrinkles. All Restylane fillers are made using XpresHAn technology, which helps regulate the degree of crosslinking among HA molecules. This crosslinking helps extend the life of the filler by slowing down the natural breakdown of hyaluronic acid over time.

What areas

can be treated with Restylane?

image

Cheeks/Midface

As we age, our cheeks can appear sunken due to loss of collagen, thinning of underlying fat, and decreasing bone volume. Restylane can be used to enhance and add volume to larger areas, such as the cheeks.

Nasolabial folds
(smile lines)

Over time, the skin of our cheeks may sag and cause nasolabial folds, which can make the face look tired with wrinkles between the nose and mouth. Restylane is a treatment that can help lift the corners of the mouth or reduce the appearance of deep lines on the sides of the mouth.

Chin/Jawline

Enhance your jawline and create a stunning, well-defined profile with Restylane chin contouring.

Under-Eye

Restylane is an effective treatment for bags or dark circles under the eyes.

Lips

As we get older, our lips may start to lose their shape and develop small vertical lines around the mouth area, while the corners may begin to sag. Restylane can be used to improve the volume and definition of your lips, as well as to remove wrinkles and vertical lines around the lip area.

Hands

With age, the hands lose volume, making the veins, tendons, and bones more visible. Restylane can add volume to reduce the signs of aging hands.

Your Experience

with Restylane

After your thorough consultation, Ellie Zarnegar, PA, DMSc,  will come up with a customized treatment plan for you.  PA Ellie will then cleanse the treatment area before making a series of injections using a fine needle. Most dermal fillers contain lidocaine, making the injections relatively painless and comfortable. This process typically takes 30–45 minutes and the results are immediate!

After treatment, you may experience some swelling or bruising, but they should subside within a week. Please contact our office if you have any adverse side effects, such as nodules or swelling, that are not resolved by massaging the treated area.
